Here are five songs I’ve been kicking it to lately.  We out here.

Angels (PACES BOOTLEG) – The xx

Sun Airway – “Close” (Beat Connection Remix)

Submotion Orchestra – Blindspot (Maribou State Remix)

Obedear (Noah Hydes Magic Sword Remix)

Chris Malinchak – If U Got It

I became a single song fan of Cheers Elephant back when I downloaded “Leaves”.  Now I love two songs by them and that was all the convincing I needed to download their newish album.  You can do the same if you go and download their album that came out back in May.  It’s called Like Wind Blows Fire and you can get it over on their Bandcamp.  They even did a video in 3D which you can check out on their website too.

Here’s Calvin Harris’s take on Spectrum by Florence + The Machine.  He sped things up, added a couple catchy chords, and a drum kit for the rhythm and that’s the only difference I hear.  I’m a firm believer in the idea that less is more. So keep it simple, stupid.

Here’s the original version.

There have been a lot of Born To Die remixes, spanning across a multitude of genres, but this one is probably the most straight forward and honest. Kyle Rapps and Diwon add two truthful verses over a nice break down of Lana Del Rey’s popular single.

This post consists of the best of the best new indie/electronic songs.  I started you off with the new RAC remix of the Temper Trap’s Need Your Love.

Golden Filter’s remix makes for the perfect upbeat and chill song.  Sounds weird that something chill could be upbeat, but it is.

A bit of funky experimental indie.  Enjoy that heavy bass and snare.

The Dirty Tees took a laid back song and made it upbeat and fun.

This is a super chilled experimental track.

Souleance is made up of a French Producer and DJ.  Head over to their Soundcloud to hear more by them.

Souleance – Passarinho

JMSN is an experimental R&B artist hailing from L.A. who’s already been recognized by Usher for his talent.  Hwood is a producer from the UK who remixed this track off of JMSN’s album †Priscilla†.  JMSN posted three dope remixes of tracks off of the album on his Soundcloud and this is my favorite.

JMSN – Do U Remember The Time (Hwood Remix)

Stream †Priscilla† below.

Mark Foster of Foster The People teamed up with A-Trak and Kimbra to put together this track being sponsored by Converse.  Props to the Converse marketing and advertising team.  Download it below.

Here’s a healthy serving of Electronic Indie and some Indie Pop.

Read up on Sleigh Bells if you have to, but more importantly stream their second album via New York Times and spoil the release of it for Feb. 21.
