Here are five songs I’ve been kicking it to lately.  We out here.

Angels (PACES BOOTLEG) – The xx

Sun Airway – “Close” (Beat Connection Remix)

Submotion Orchestra – Blindspot (Maribou State Remix)

Obedear (Noah Hydes Magic Sword Remix)

Chris Malinchak – If U Got It

Smike and I both agree this is the best song off of TNGHT’s EP. Lucky for us they just dropped the video for it. If you haven’t already done so, go and cop the EP from the iTunes Store.

Fred Falke has provided us with the perfect second perspective on Lana Del Rey’s “National Anthem”.  Going off of the already established old school feel of the music video this remix builds on it.

Bonus beats.

New Jersey producer and friend of the blog Nyiddle has thrown trap tricks on Kill Frenzy’s “Booty Clap”, the original being a techno joint. Offset drops, major lazers, snare hits, and hi hat rolls, a recipe for booty clap most definitely.

When Greg and Mike asked me to stay on board with 201 Beats a few months ago I admit I was very honored and was grateful for the opportunity. However, I have not lived up to my side of the bargain and stayed on my posting game. The 201 staff put a lot of work into the site and although their vision for its material has progressed from the EDM/House genre, when I heard this track I just felt like I needed to share it with the world. 3LAU is a young DJ I have been pushing to our readers for a while now and frankly I think this is his best work yet taking on an already smash hit from Zedd.

Just peeped this over on Fool’s Gold .  Stole the track listing too.

1. Flosstradamus “Rollup (Baauer Remix)”
2. Starkey “Solar Flare”
3. Wax Motif “Ctrl-66″
4. Solidisco “Take It Back”
5. Chambray “Mangoes”
6. João Çesèr “Gearing”
7. Fashen “Dunce”
8. Bruce Trail “Gargamel Rising”

Here’s a new podcast/mix type deal done by yours truly featuring a variety of just about everything to get you moving.

TNGHT is the way of the future.  You can stream previews of each track off the EP via their Soundcloud and the player below.  Head over to the iTunes Store to download the full length EP.

I present to you, my soundtrack, titled The Soundtrack.  It’s a compilation of my favorite tunes and I did the cover art for it too.  You need to drive to this and you need to listen to this with high quality speakers.  Although it is recommended, it’s optional to add some herbal supplements to your listening regiment, hence the smoker face.  We all create the soundtrack to our lives and this is mine at the moment.
